Info USA@BFSU America Week 2012

Info USA sponsored its first major round of programs - America Week - from May 24-28, 2012.  Undergraduate and graduate students alike rushed to attend the many events at BFSU coordinated by USCET and Info USA.

America Week programs included: a lecture on the US financial crisis and journalism workshops led by USCET's Pulitzer Prize-winning, 9th Journalist in Residence (JIR), Jesse Eisinger of ProPublica; launch of the American Film Series, which will continue throughout the year; "Study in the USA" college informational sessions; and a presentation by Joan Cohen, an art historian, photographer and curator, on how Chinese art inspired her own work.  The diverse and prominent speakers featured in Info USA programming distinguish USCET's American Cultural Center from others in China. USCET integrates its ongoing programs with Info USA activities, strengthening sustainability of programming that provides benefits to all. America Week concluded with very high ratings from participants and BFSU partners.
